One of the leading providers of real estate transaction services, the client operates through a network of thousands of agents across United States, Mexico, Canada, Latin America and Europe. Business Challenge
At the client organization, an inorganic growth strategy had led to a diverse and complex technology environment. Presence of multiple systems, applications, operating platforms and databases made monitoring and using off-the-shelf tools, difficult and expensive. In addition, with limited resources, the client was unable to scale up its monitoring operations.

The Indecomm Approach
Indecomm deployed a team of consultants onsite to gather business requirements, design the system architecture and propose a project plan. Indecomm leveraged its understanding of the client context, having been associated with the client for more than two years. The system was developed and tested from offshore. Using standard technologies such as Microsoft .NET, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Notification Services (SSNS), Indecomm’s team of experts developed and deployed a customized automated monitoring system. An efficient quality process ensured that the system was error-free and ready for implementation on time.

Outcome
With the new system in place, configuring, setting up and comprehensive monitoring of file transfer locations, websites, application servers, database servers, web services and other system components could be performed with ease. Further, leveraging its global delivery model and offshore delivery centers, Indecomm enabled the client to scale up its monitoring operations to 24x7. Indecomm remotely manages and monitors the alerts generated, taking over from the client at night.

The client organization, in the quest to differentiate itself, has been acquiring several industry leading technologies, service providers and data repositories. This inorganic growth led to multiple applications, operating platforms and databases resulting in diverse and complex IT environment. The client, therefore, felt the need to reduce the number of applications, operating systems and databases so as to better manage its IT environment.

The Indecomm Approach
Indecomm deployed a team of consultants onsite to assess the existing situation, gather requirements, and propose a project plan. The Indecomm team of experts proposed the implementation of a generalized archival application. Leveraging its technology expertise, Indecomm developed and deployed a generalized archival application. Combining standard technologies such as Microsoft .NET, SQL Server and XML, the new system helped archive a number of redundant applications. The system also facilitated access to information contained in archived applications as and when required. Indecomm leveraged the client’s existing document management system to translate XML transactions into formatted and user-friendly documents. These documents can be viewed, edited, indexed and saved for future use.

Outcome
The generalized archival application helped the client greatly reduce the number of applications, operating platforms and databases without hampering the quality of information available. Hence, the client achieved one of its strategic IT objectives.

Our Client
One of the largest real estate transaction processing organizations in the United States, the client provides unique and automated solutions for title, real estate and tax. The client has been associated with most of the top mortgage banks, consumer finance companies, lenders and government agencies.

Business Challenge
The client organization, owing to its acquisition led growth strategy, had acquired businesses in the areas of title insurance, collateral evaluation and tax certification. This led to multiple applications, operating platforms and databases resulting in diverse and complex IT environment. The client also had a multi-layered service-oriented architecture (SOA). Microsoft’s Components-based, Scalable Logical Architecture (CSLA) framework is a key component of this architecture.

Development of automated interfaces, process orchestrations, business rules, web services and complex business objects for the architecture posed a key challenge for the client. The client lacked the necessary resources and quality assurance process to develop these components. These components are deployed in high-availability, high-performance and high-scalability environment, adding to the complexity.

The Indecomm Approach
Indecomm deployed a team of consultants onsite, with an offshore backend to assist the client in the development, quality assurance and deployment of the system components. Indecomm’s technology experts developed an automated process named “Object Factory” which would automate the requirement specification, development, quality assurance and deployment of business objects. The team used standard technologies such as Microsoft .NET and Team Foundation Services to develop the process. The scope of the project encompasses development and implementation of the whole gamut of system components including interfaces, process orchestrations, business rules, web services and complex business objects.

Outcome
The implementation of “Object Factory” helped the client automate a critical business and technology imperative.
